Welcome!

My subject matter is found in the dramatic Isle of Bute on the West Coast of Scotland with its tiny white cottages and large expanses of deserted beach.

I am constantly amazed by the changing light and effect that this has on familiar landscapes. Facing Inchmarnock and the Isle of Arran, the view from my studio is simply breath-taking and a fresh inspiration to me every day.

In addition to the landscapes, being surrounded by donkeys, chickens and livestock in the rural location of my home means I'm never stuck for subjects!

The artists who inspire me are Richard Pearce, Jim Wylie and Lawrence Coulson, each with their own dramatic landscapes.
